Structural Draftsman Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Draftsman to support our structural engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in BIM modeling and drafting using tools like Revit and AutoCAD.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate BIM models and detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure model consistency.
  • Produce high-quality shop drawings, sections, and reinforcement detailing as required.
  • Update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards including local and international codes.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM software.
  • Perform quality control on drafted output and manage revisions effectively.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to constructability and detailing issues.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a structural draftsman with at least 2 years in BIM/Revit.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure AutoCAD and familiarity with Navisworks.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems (RC steel post-tensioning) and detailing standards.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
