Engineering Manager Job Description

A highly skilled engineering manager is sought to lead our healthcare claims processing teams, combining expertise in system design and exceptional people management skills.

  • We are looking for a seasoned leader to design and architect scalable healthcare claims processing systems handling millions of transactions.
  • The successful candidate will lead system design reviews and technical decision-making for complex healthcare workflows, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security standards meet healthcare compliance requirements.
  • This role involves driving technical strategy for claims adjudication, provider networks, and member management systems.
  • Candidates should be able to collaborate with architects on system integration patterns and data flow optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Design and architect scalable healthcare claims processing systems handling millions of transactions.
  • People Management: Build, lead, and mentor a team of software engineers across multiple product areas.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Data, and Operations teams on feature planning and delivery.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years in engineering management.
  • Strong system design experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on coding experience.
  • Experience with real-time processing systems and high-volume transaction processing.
  • A track record of successful large-scale system migrations or platform modernizations.
  • A proven track record of scaling engineering teams and managing technical talent.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), databases, and modern engineering practices.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/deployment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
