Cloud Security Professional Wanted
Our organization is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture, coupled with expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Amazon AWS based cloud solutions using a broad range of AWS services (VPC, EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, AWS CLI, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, AWS Config, Kinesis, Route 53, Dynamo DB, and SNS).
- Implement identity and access management (IAM) controls to manage user and system access securely.
- Collaborate with cloud architects and developers to create security solutions for cloud environments by designing security controls and ensuring they are integrated into cloud platforms.
- Monitor cloud environments for suspicious activities and threats using tools like SIEM systems.
- Implement security governance policies and maintain audit logs for regulatory requirements.
- Automate cloud security processes using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Collaborate with DevOps, network, and software development teams to promote secure cloud practices.
- Provide secret management solutions with versioning enabled and encrypt data.
- Built backup solutions for running application's downtime and maintained a parallelly running disaster recovery environment in the backend.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
