Compensation: $15 - $20 per hour

Vikgol is committed to delivering innovative solutions and services that empower businesses to scale and grow. We are seeking talented and motivated Java Backend Developers to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build scalable, secure, and highly performant backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to software engineering best practices.
  • Optimize and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
  • Participate in technical discussions, architectural decisions, and project planning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system functionality and performance.

Delivery Lead Role:

  • Lead the delivery of end-to-end solutions, ensuring timelines, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Work closely with development teams and product managers to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Oversee the project lifecycle, from initiation to production release, ensuring that projects are on time and within scope.
  • Ensure that best practices in software development and delivery processes are followed.
  • Manage communication with clients or internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and risks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • For Senior Backend Developer (6-10 years of experience):
    • Strong proficiency in Java and related technologies like Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture.
    • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
    • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
    • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
    • Ability to lead technical discussions, drive decisions, and mentor junior developers.
    • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • For Mid-Level Backend Developer (2-5 years of experience):
    • Hands-on experience in Java development and Spring framework.
    • Good understanding of databases and querying (SQL/NoSQL).
    • Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
    • Basic understanding of cloud environments and containerization.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • For Delivery Lead Role:
    • 6-10 years of experience in software development and at least 3 years in a delivery management or technical lead role.
    • Proven experience in delivering software solutions, managing resources, and ensuring high-quality outputs.
    • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Educational Background:

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech from reputed institutions such as NIIT, BITS, IIT or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of delivering software solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
