We are responsible for the tax platform, providing core services that calculate taxes (sales tax and VAT) globally and generate tax invoices for all Amazon sales, physical and digital. We thrive on providing accurate tax amounts to customers at order time and ensuring audit records are stored safely to meet tax law requirements around the globe.

Our challenges include staying on top of complex global tax rates and laws, computing calculations correctly and quickly thousands of times a second, and meeting strict accuracy requirements. We're looking for software engineers who thrive on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating complex systems under extreme loads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all parts of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to drive services optimisations, cost, and security
  • Use software engineering best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
