Big Data Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Big Data Engineer II to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to play a key role in designing, executing, and managing large and complex distributed data systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage large-scale distributed data systems to meet business needs
  • Monitor performance and optimize existing projects to ensure efficient data processing
  • Research and integrate new Big Data tools and frameworks to provide requested capabilities
  • Implement scalable solutions to meet business requirements
  • Create reusable components and data tools for seamless integration with our data platform

Key Requirements:

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in big data technologies (Apache Hadoop) and relational databases (MS SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL/Postgres)
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, or Scala
  • Expertise in SQL (T-SQL/PL-SQL/SPARK-SQL/HIVE-QL)
  • Strong understanding of distributed storage (HDFS/S3)
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, comfortable working with very large sets of data
  • Experience with integrating data across multiple data sources
