Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, analyze CFCC risks, and develop strategies to mitigate and manage those risks.
  • Monitor dynamic changes in the risk and control environment, providing insights to inform operational or tactical risk responses.
  • Perform deep dives into material or emerging risk areas, enabling structural risk responses or remediation.
  • Manage issues and events as they occur, performing root cause analysis and lessons learned to remediate vulnerabilities and reduce exposures.
  • Proactively mitigate and manage CFCC risks introduced by business change, assessing their impact on the organization and implementing strategies to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Provide advisory services on business risk management, policy and regulation, and product change, supporting sustainable growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the vision, strategy, and direction of the CFCC Professional Services team and support the Bank's strategic direction and growth aspirations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to identify risks and drive appropriate action.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders based on trust, capability, and integrity, providing timely, responsive, and quality advice and guidance.
  • Support the integration of Professional Services into the Bank's overall CFCC Risk Management strategy, ensuring consistent and aligned business advice.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to provide oversight support and enable sustainable CFCC outcomes.
  • Deliver key priorities and initiatives aligned to the Professional Services performance scorecard.
  • Develop advanced level expertise on CFCC risks, business and product, and global regulatory frameworks.
  • Analyze comprehensive impacts of CFCC related risk and regulatory matters affecting SCB through quantitative and qualitative assessment.
  • Establish workflows, build, and maintain processes / DOIs for risk assessments, monitoring, and advisory, aligning with Group and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Independently perform deep dive reviews and thematic analysis to completion.
  • Continuously improve and calibrate processes, approaches, practices, and methodologies.
  • Provide actionable risk insights to stakeholders.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of working experience in banking, financial institutions, regulators, fintech, or equivalent industries.
  • 5+ years of advanced practitioner level experience in Conduct or Compliance Risk or Financial Crime Risk management.
  • Experience in Business or Product or Operations Risk Management with exposure to Conduct or Compliance or Financial Crime or Control Oversight in a front or first-line role.
  • Expertise in adjunct or interconnected risk operations disciplines (e.g., Financial Crime Risk Surveillance Operations, Compliance Surveillance Operations).
  • Leadership skills, influencing stakeholders & colleagues across multiple geographies.
  • Project or Change Management skills in overseeing, delivering, and implementing strategic or tactical initiatives or projects.
  • Proficiency in analyzing potential risk exposures.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of best practice risk assessment techniques and risk management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Sound judgement on business practices, regulatory relationship management and reputational risk.
  • Ability to balance detail-oriented and big-picture perspectives.
