Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our network services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Planning:
    • Collaborate with department heads to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
  • Acquisition & Deployment:
    • Design and deploy local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks, including routers, hubs, switches, firewalls, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), and other hardware.
    • Conduct ongoing research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain up-to-date on industry developments.
    • Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
    • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
  • Operational Management:
    • Configure networks to ensure smooth and reliable operation in support of business objectives and processes.
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
    • Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
    • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
    • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
    • Participate in managing all network security solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure design and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Experience with network security solutions and threat analysis.
  • Familiarity with network asset management and inventory control.
