As a seasoned data engineering professional, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the development of innovative data warehouse solutions. Your expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native data-intensive applications, leveraging Amazon Web Services and other leading technologies, will be instrumental in driving business value.

With a strong background in software development and data structures/algorithms, you will lead a team of senior engineers, proposing architecture, solving complex data modeling situations, and interacting directly with clients to gather requirements. Your ability to build holistic roadmaps, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies will be crucial in ensuring successful project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software development and data engineering

• 4+ years of experience in leading teams of senior engineers

• Expertise in Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting with production experience

• Strong understanding of modern data warehouses and experience in Databricks and dbt

• Proficiency in architecting and implementing workflow management systems using Airflow

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining Spark applications

• Fundamental understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats

• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation) and observability systems (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana)

• Strong experience in building CI/CD processes and unit testing/test automation frameworks
