Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced State Associate to lead the implementation of our Trees Outside Forests (TOF) program in a designated district. The successful candidate will work closely with the State Coordinator to develop and implement a district-level program delivery model, focusing on expansion and sustainability of TOF hubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the State Coordinator to develop and implement a district-level program delivery model, focusing on TOF expansion and sustainability.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for TOF expansion and prioritize initiatives at the district level.
- Coordinate with district-level government institutions, project partners, and Civil Society Organizations for effective project implementation.
- Support the establishment, operation, and sustainability of TOF hubs within the district.
- Lead field activities, including farmer selection, input distribution, data collection, cleaning, monitoring, and submission.
- Organize district-level stakeholder workshops, training sessions, and capacity development activities, and facilitate network development and knowledge sharing.
- Aid in setting up, upgrading, and managing primary and tertiary nurseries and agroforestry demonstration activities in the district.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports for district-level TOF activities.
- Assist in implementing the project's Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Plan, Gender Analysis Plan, and Environmental Monitoring and Mitigation Plan, including capturing Activity Location Data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as Agriculture, Agroforestry, Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Social Sciences, or Natural Resource Management.
- Minimum of 3 years of field experience in implementing donor-funded projects or development programs, with proven experience in leading a team to achieve development goals.
- Experience working with state officials and ICAR institutes is highly desirable for supporting strategy development, implementation plans, and decision-making.
