Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Leader to lead our team in the design and engineering of vacuum furnaces and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical solutions and execution methods for sales offers and customer specifications.
  • Sizing and costing of technical offers with the sales manager.
  • Project monitoring and technical support provision.
  • Engineering management and technical analysis of projects.
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary teams for conceptual design and development.
  • Interface with colleagues and customers throughout the design, development, implementation, and delivery cycle.
  • Analytical problem-solving support to assembly factory/assembly lines.
  • Review engineering and design for future planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor/Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Design.
  • Design and analysis of mechanical/electrical structures/low/high/ultra-high vacuum systems.
  • High Pressure Vessel design/construction.
  • High Temperature Hot Zone design/construction.
  • Heating Elements/Heat-Shield or Insulation design and construction.
  • Heat Exchanger design/construction.
  • Hot-zone support structure/Hearth bar design/construction.
  • Knowledge about Heat treatment, brazing, carburizing, hardening, annealing, melting, etc.
  • Advanced skills in 2D & 3D CAD software - preferably AutoCAD and Inventor or Solid Works.
  • 3D design for vacuum chambers and systems.
  • Knowledge and application of numerical modelling in solid mechanics.
  • Thermal exchange calculation/Computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Finite Element Method (FEM) and Thermo-mechanical simulations analysis.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, vacuum process systems, electrical components, and automation.
