Senior Accounting Professional

The primary role of this position is to work as a senior associate in the accounting and audit department. You will be responsible for managing and executing various projects, providing technical expertise to junior team members, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- You will be working closely with our audit team to develop and implement strategies for enhancing our clients' financial management systems.
- Responsible for researching and staying up-to-date on new regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in auditing and accounting, particularly in non-profit industries, is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and demonstrating an understanding of the company's audit approach, methodology, and tools.
- Performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with the company's audit methodology based on the overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
- Identifying areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discussing with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.
- Researching technical accounting issues.
- Developing industry expertise.
- Preparing audit reports and management letters.
- Exercising professional skepticism, judgment, and adhering to the code of ethics while on engagements.
- Ensuring that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the company.
- Working collaboratively as part of the team and communicating effectively with RSM audit professionals.
- Providing supervision and development training for associates.
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients.
- Providing timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations, including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables.
- Ensuring professional development through ongoing education.
- Participating in a range of projects and open to collaborate and work with multiple teams; demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving, initiative, and timely completion of work.
Required Qualifications:
- Semi Qualified ACCA/CPA.
- Qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field specifically NFP industry.
- Strong technical skills in accounting, including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS.
- Strong data analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States-based engagement teams.
