We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to play a pivotal role in the success of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing test strategies, planning, and approaches for product design, development, execution, and maintenance of test scenarios and test cases across different platforms.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Behaviour Driven Development, the strategies that result in fast-running, flexible test suites, and how BDD impacts the design of software.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing bespoke automation frameworks with multi-layer automation across UI, APIs, and back-end systems.
- Establishing testing as an integral part of the development process within cross-functional teams.
- Proactively suggesting improvements in testing tools for better test coverage for automation.
- Detecting and reporting defects and closing follow-up to ensure closure of issues.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assessing and bringing continuous improvements to the overall quality work closely with the development team to debug any issue participate in scrum calls with customers and internal stakeholders contribute to POC on the upcoming toolsets.
- Conducting Root cause analysis for the production defects and improving test assets work on refactoring the existing framework as per the requirement.
- Developing and executing SQL queries to perform database testing and validate data integrity.
- Testing and validating APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Participating in code reviews to ensure the testability, maintainability, and performance of software applications.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including experience with test automation frameworks like Cypress.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing strategies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with cross-browser testing and mobile automation.
- Knowledge of cloud environments like AWS.
