Job Opportunity: AWS IAM Engineer

Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a skilled AWS IAM engineer to join our team. As an AWS IAM engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure access management solutions for our cloud-based infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of AWS IAM services, including roles, policies, permission sets, service control policies (SCPs), and identity federation. You should also have experience with RBAC and ABAC implementation in cloud environments, as well as proficiency in automating IAM using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to evaluate and recommend IAM best practices for new AWS services. Additionally, you should be familiar with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and multi-account governance.

Responsibilities:

- Architect and automate AWS IAM roles, policies, and permission boundaries

- Define and implement role strategies using RBAC and ABAC models

- Manage lifecycle of IAM entities across multi-account AWS environments

- Maintain infrastructure-as-code for IAM using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Governance and Certification:

- Analyze new AWS services for IAM integration and provide recommendations

- Document safe implementation guidelines for application teams consuming AWS services

- Work closely with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to ensure secure access patterns

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience managing IAM in AWS Public Cloud

- Strong knowledge of AWS IAM services: roles, policies, permission sets, service control policies (SCPs), etc.

- Experience with RBAC and ABAC implementation in cloud environments

- Proficiency in automating IAM using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools

- Familiarity with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and multi-account governance
