Financial Operations Manager

The role of the Deputy Manager Finance is to manage end-to-end financial processes and accounting for various business units. This position involves handling tasks such as payment to payment, reverse to reverse, and order to cash.
- Accounting & Reporting:
- Handle end-to-end accounting and process management for the respective business units.
- Responsible for completing accurate and timely monthly financial close.
- Compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies to ensure consistency in accounting.
- Responsible for delivering accurate books of accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensures that financial accounts are properly supported and reconciled.
- Leading financial close review with finance leadership, including month-end review and finalization of P&L accounts, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Run a cadence with internal teams to identify aging and take suitable actions.
- Responsible for interim audits, due diligence, statutory audit, GST audits, etc.
- Prepare the organization for statutory and tax audits and financial due diligence.
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Support specific business units with end-to-end finance operational support.
- Develop and manage financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability for the specific business unit.
- Provide the business with timely, accurate, and insightful analysis of results.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities to drive strategic decision-making.
- Acts as a single source of truth for numbers - key financial metrics and performance drivers.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and operations, to ensure alignment on financial goals and initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including investors, partners, and vendors.
- Other Activities/Initiatives:
- Knowledge of nodal account, payment gateway reconciliations, e-commerce transactions, etc.
Skills, Qualifications & Personality:
- Start-up experience and scaling up a start-up through series-A and series-B funding efforts preferred.
- Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook and impeccable integrity.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, and reporting software.
- Candidate who is well-versed in dealing with auditors and consultants is preferred.
- Advanced expertise in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel (Pivots, Lookup, Conditional Functions, Power BI, etc.).
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- High-energy individual with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
