Senior Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data solutions.

In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and mentor, driving best practices in data engineering, architecture, and governance.

  • Architect, design, and optimize complex data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Services.
  • Lead the development of scalable data solutions using Python, PySpark, and distributed computing frameworks.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, ensuring data is timely, accurate, and complete.
  • Design and maintain enterprise-grade data models using star and snowflake schemas.
  • Write and review advanced SQL, including CTEs, aggregations, and complex joins.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust data solutions.
  • Champion documentation, metadata management, and data governance practices.
  • Guide the development of Power BI and Sigma Computing dashboards and semantic models.
  • Integrate data from relational (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB) sources.
  • Lead integration efforts with Informatica Cloud Platform, including Customer 360, Reference 360, and MDM SaaS.
  • Architect and implement real-time data ingestion using Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, and event-driven patterns.
  • Use GitHub for source control, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Data Engineering Experience:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in designing and implementing scalable data solutions, with expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Services, Python, PySpark, and distributed computing frameworks.

Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in SQL, including CTEs, aggregations, and complex joins, as well as experience with data modeling, data governance, and metadata management.
