Senior Backend Developer Position

We are seeking a seasoned backend developer to join our team. As a key member of the engineering department, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Python and the Flask framework.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Develop clean, well-documented, and testable code in Python to build and optimize scalable microservices and data models.
  2. Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and frontend engineers to deliver reliable features.
  3. Performance Optimization: Use observability tools to debug and optimize backend performance.
  4. AI Integration: Leverage AI-driven development for code generation, testing, and debugging.
  5. Code Review: Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Backend Development Experience: At least 24 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems.
  2. Programming Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
  3. Data Structures and Algorithms: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and SQL concepts.
  4. Frontend Exposure: Basic knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, NextJS) for building UI components and integrating APIs.
  5. Database Systems: Experience with database systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB or MongoDB.
  6. REST APIs and Microservices: Proficiency in designing, implementing, and deploying REST APIs and microservices.
  7. AI Tools: Familiarity with one of the AI tools (e.g., Cursor AI, Codex, Copilot, Gemini, Windsurf).
  8. Software Development Methodologies: Experience with agile software development methodologies and CI/CD workflows.
  9. Communication Skills: Clear communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
