Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Systems Engineer to join our team at Smartwork IT Services. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and upgrade Oracle standalone and RAC databases in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Manage Oracle database users, passwords, and profiles.
  • Perform tablespace management (add, resize datafiles, add tablespaces).
  • Configure and maintain RMAN catalogs, and perform manual RMAN backups (Incremental/Full).
  • Restore database backups using RMAN.
  • Check and troubleshoot Data Guard standby sync issues, ensuring synchronization is in place.
  • Perform database failovers to the Data Guard standby server and vice-versa.
  • Check the GoldenGate sync status and troubleshoot sync lag issues.
  • Analyze AWR/ASH & ADDM reports to identify and address database performance issues.
  • Generate trace files using Tkprof and OS Watcher tools for performance analysis.
  • Perform database housekeeping tasks such as purging, defragmentation, and index rebuilds.

  • Expertise in performing database patches, export/import using Datapump, and housekeeping tasks.
Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this position is ₹10,00,000 - ₹20,00,000 based on location and experience.
