About the Role:

The Patil Group seeks an experienced Procurement Manager - SCM Expert to lead our steel materials procurement efforts. This is a critical role that requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of steel manufacturing processes, and the ability to develop strategic partnerships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure all types of steel materials from OEMs and dealers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Forecast product demand and negotiate prices with suppliers based on economic trends.
  • Manage working capital across PAN India plants to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
  • Analyze data to inform procurement decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, vendor banks, and cost-saving techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with SAP processes and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of SAP processes and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Power BI and other software tools.
