Job Title:

Fiber Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Installation Specialist to support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks.

The role involves working on field deployments, testing, and ensuring high-quality connectivity for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, splicing, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables.
  • Perform OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure network quality.
  • Support network maintenance, fault identification, and restoration of fiber breaks.
  • Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, splicing details, and test reports.
  • Coordinate with field teams and customers during project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and project timelines.
  • Provide on-site support for FTTH and enterprise fiber projects.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of fiber technologies (single mode, multi-mode).
  • Familiarity with fiber splicing machines, OTDR, and related tools.
  • Ability to work in field environments and travel to project sites.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Understanding of FTTH networks.
  • Exposure to infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and industry best practices.
