Job Title: Data Engineer/Senior Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and products like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Dataproc.

This key member of our data engineering team will be responsible for expertise in large scale data platforms and data processing systems such as Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Azure Data Lake, and experience working with event-driven messaging frameworks like RabbitMQ and Pub/Sub.

The ideal candidate will have advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring, and optimizing (SQL). They will also have experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.

Additionally, they will perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using GCP services and products.
  • Expertise in large scale data platforms and data processing systems.
  • Experience working with event-driven messaging frameworks like RabbitMQ and Pub/Sub.
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases.
  • Building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
  • Root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
