Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud orchestration technologies.

The role involves end-to-end deployment and configuration of both private and public cloud environments, including deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) on physical and virtual platforms.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Installing and managing hypervisors including KVM, VMware ESXi, and XenServer.
  • Leading and implementing private and public cloud infrastructure using tools like OpenStack, Apache CloudStack, or other orchestration platforms.
  • Writing and maintaining automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages for deployment and operational tasks.
  • Using Ansible and Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
  • Implementing and managing monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong command over Linux system administration with proven troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms: KVM, VMware, Xen.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying any cloud orchestration platforms like OpenStack or CloudStack.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages – Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as RHCE, VCP, LFCS, or similar.
  • Exposure to container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

This role requires a solid understanding of storage technologies, RAID configurations, and volume management, as well as familiarity with hardware components, server installations, and physical infrastructure planning. Excellent analytical thinking and communication/documentation skills are essential for success in this position.
