Internal Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting independent reviews of internal controls, ensuring timely reporting to team members and management, and implementing control processes and corrective actions.

You will also facilitate the completion of mandatory statutory/corporate/Asia reporting requirements and review adherence to US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent on-site internal control reviews and implement control processes and corrective actions.
  • Undertake special projects to identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation, with a focus on strengthening internal controls while reducing inefficiencies and inaccuracies.
  • Assess risks across all functional areas and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Facilitate completion of mandatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support location management teams during operational and financial audits.
  • Analyze accounting documents to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant with at least 8 years of experience in internal audit/accounting audit/internal control roles, including 4 years in a Big 4 environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to perform process audits and month-end close reviews independently.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High adaptability and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
