Job Title:

A high-level software engineer is needed to lead an agile team of engineers and SDETs focused on advancing key cloud-native products.

This role will provide technical guidance, mentoring, and supporting the career growth of team members. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the MEAN stack, MongoDB, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket. They should also be familiar with software containerization and microservices-based architectures.

Responsibilities
  • Lead an agile team of engineers and SDETs to advance key cloud-native products.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and supporting the career growth of team members.
  • Design, architecture, development, and expert-level support for Alevate AP Cloud products.
  • Manage customer pilots, proof of concepts, and new product use cases in collaboration with the Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and Solution Architects.
  • Support customer-facing and support teams during product implementation by providing technical inputs and expertise.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in design, development, and support of modern, cloud-native, productized, multi-tenant application software. They should have hands-on implementation experience with the MEAN stack, in-depth experience with MongoDB and Node.js, and proven expertise in building cloud-based and microservices-based architectures.

Experience in provisioning and deploying software on Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms; SaaS experience is essential. Practical experience in software containerization and container management technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is required. Awareness of the latest CI/CD trends and best practices, hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket, and experience working with and/or leading Scrum-based ticketing systems like JIRA are also necessary.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in business terms, are essential. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
