Job Description

We are seeking an experienced General Legal Counsel to lead our global legal function, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions while handling corporate governance, contracts, employment laws, IP, data privacy, disputes, and business expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop Legal Strategies: Develop legal strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring compliance across India, USA, Europe, EMEA, and APAC.
  2. Manage Global Employment: Ensure global compliance for employees, contractors, and vendors; manage workforce classification, contracts, terminations, and global mobility.
  3. Oversee Office Expansions: Oversee legal setup for new markets, regulatory filings, corporate compliance, and commercial leases.
  4. Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate and manage SaaS, MSAs, PSAs, subcontracting, and vendor agreements while ensuring risk mitigation.
  5. Protect Intellectual Property: Protect patents, trademarks, copyrights, and ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, DPDP Act, and cross-border data laws.
  6. Resolve Disputes: Manage commercial disputes, employment claims, regulatory investigations, and litigation strategies.
  7. Ensure Corporate Governance: Ensure regulatory compliance, board governance, anti-bribery policies, and oversee M&A legal due diligence.
  8. Lead the Legal Team: Lead the legal team, partner with HR, Finance, and Compliance, and provide legal training on key policies.
