Job Title:

Our organization is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our growing data team focused on delivering impactful solutions in the healthcare and medical technology space. If you're passionate about building scalable pipelines, driving analytics, and working with healthcare data standards—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and ETL tools.
  • Optimize workflows for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Create data models and schemas for analytics and reporting.
  • Manage and secure SQL Server databases.
  • Handle structured/unstructured datasets from diverse sources.
  • Ensure alignment with HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA standards.
  • Build dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense.
  • Collaborate with business users to deliver actionable insights.
  • Process large datasets using Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
  • Prepare data for machine learning pipelines and predictive modeling.
  • Work with data scientists, analysts, and domain experts.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
  • Monitor data pipeline performance.
  • Troubleshoot and refine systems for scalability and uptime.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory data governance.
  • Implement robust data security for patient and clinical information.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in Data Engineering, ideally in healthcare or medical data environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with: Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server.
  • Python, SQL, PySpark, Spark SQL.
  • Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense.
  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and healthcare data privacy standards (HIPAA).
  • Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
