We are seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Specialist to join our team at Relay Human Cloud India. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of financial operations.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, collaborating with owners, and overseeing financial transactions, cash balances, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with property owners, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of 8-10 properties, working closely with owners to oversee financial transactions, cash balances, and intercompany reconciliations.
  2. Coordinate with the Property Accounts Payable Specialist to authorize invoice payments twice a week and ensure timely processing.
  3. Review and ensure the accuracy of monthly deposits while preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, audit schedules, and tax-related documentation.
  4. Develop and maintain Excel schedules for EDM financial reporting based on owner requirements.
  5. Generate month-end and year-end financial reports, including reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger.
  6. Prepare and post 10+ monthly journal entries per property, covering insurance, expense accruals, expense/income reclassifications, real estate and franchise taxes.
  7. Process and record miscellaneous deposits while maintaining weekly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
  8. Initiate monthly wire transfers for mortgage payments and reimbursements.
  9. Issue stop payments when necessary and process unclaimed property funds per state regulations.
