Job Title: Assistant Manager - World Class Manufacturing

At MASTER MIND CONSULTANCY, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to lead our World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust structured system to drive industrial performance, reduce waste and inefficiencies, and improve overall manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive WCM strategy in close coordination with plant management, aligning with company policy and cascading it into pillar activity plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to pillar teams, lead, participate, and coach team members in the execution of WCM.
  • Analyze loss data for accuracy, identify top-focused improvement areas, and follow up on WCM costs and achievements.
  • Facilitate the implementation of World Class Manufacturing principles throughout the site, ensuring proper support to pillars and driving continuous improvement.
  • Be agile, challenge the status quo, and seek out better ways of operating, with a positive and receptive attitude to change.
  • Control and coach WCM activities on the shop floor, contribute to motivating and empowering people through positive attitude and stimulate mindset changes.
  • Ensure the development of WCM skills at all levels, conducting internal trainings and audits of WCM teams/pillars.
  • Promote and support cross-fertilization of ideas, knowledge, improvements, and best practices, providing methodological support.
  • Interface with employees in each department, partner with frontline managers and pillar leaders, and coach and support teams to enable them to meet the deadlines of the World Class Manufacturing program milestones.
Requirements:
  • BE with specialization in Mechanical/Chemical/Production Planning, with exposure to TPM/TQM or equivalent exposure to WCM.
  • Target Industry: Automotive Industry/Continuous Process Industry.
  • Relevant Experience: 6-8 years of experience.
  • Location: Bangalore.

Details: WCM exposure (at least 6 years) is required if not TPM experience required. Yellow belt or Green Belt can be beneficial. Experience in Kaizen projects and employee health and safety is a plus.
