Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with expertise in statistical methodologies, mathematical optimization, and machine learning. The ideal candidate will be proficient in designing and implementing advanced statistical models to drive data-driven decision-making.

This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in statistical inference, and classical machine learning, as well as experience applying statistical techniques to real-world business problems.

The Data Scientist will collaborate with product design and engineering teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting, processing, and analyzing datasets to extract meaningful insights.
  • Developing and implementing statistical & machine learning models and algorithms to address business challenges.
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues in data pipelines, machine learning models, and production systems to ensure seamless operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
  • Deep knowledge of statistical inference, vector calculus, linear algebra, and classical machine learning (especially decision trees, PCA, PLS, and Bayesian statistics).
  • 3+ years of experience in data science or machine learning environments that require the combined application of statistical & technical skills.
  • Excellent development skills in Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex statistical concepts into practical business applications.
