Job Title: Senior Merchandiser

About the Role:

We are a fast-growing activewear brand focused on delivering high-performance, stylish apparel for fitness enthusiasts. With in-house manufacturing, we take pride in our control over quality, speed, and design innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize sample development, fabric, and trim procurement for production orders.
  • Monitor sample production, resolve technical or production issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Work on product costing and optimal selling price. Monitor fabric usage, trims, and production processes to optimize efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular quality checks at key production stages, highlight defects or deviations, and implement corrective measures in collaboration with production and quality teams.
  • Maintain accurate production tracking documents and provide timely updates regarding production status and any potential delays.
  • Ensure alignment on delivery timelines, material availability, and order fulfillment across design, sales, sourcing, and logistics teams.
  • Manage and track the production schedule from development through bulk manufacturing, ensuring timelines are met for seasonal collections and special projects.
  • Communicate all tech packs, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and production specifications accurately to the production floor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in apparel production merchandising, preferably in activewear or sportswear segments.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and production processes, especially for activewear (technical fabrics, stretch materials, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience working in in-house manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel in particular) and production tracking systems.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate across design, production, and sales teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of innovative practices and raw material vendors in activewear production is a plus.
