Job Title: Software Craftsperson

Job Description:

We seek a skilled Senior Node.js Software Craftsperson who will take ownership of critical projects, mentor junior developers, and influence architectural decisions that shape the future of our platforms.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and be empowered to drive quality and innovation in every line of code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple development projects ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards
  • Develop clear technical specifications, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable plans
  • Collaborate with team members through architecture, design, and code reviews to deliver robust solutions
  • Design features, write unit tests, and uphold high-quality coding standards
  • Participate in peer reviews, enforce coding best practices, and contribute to process improvements

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in backend software development
  • Proven expertise with Node.js and experience leading engineering efforts
  • Strong grasp of agile development workflows (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Deep hands-on experience with Node.js and frameworks like Express.js
  • Knowledge of object-oriented and service-oriented architecture
  • Experience with multi-threaded systems, concurrency, and backend performance tuning
  • Excellent debugging and performance profiling skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in high-performing teams
  • Clear communicator who values clarity, documentation, and team alignment
