We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our investments team.

This role will be based in Mumbai and requires at least three days of on-site work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day responsibilities of the Mumbai team as their lead specialist.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including fund administrators, investment managers, and auditors.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Work closely with colleagues in other locations to contribute to team success.
  • Review financial statements and fund reports.
  • Execute investor capital calls and distributions.
  • Support the audit of the funds.
  • Assist team members with query resolution and task delivery by providing expertise on fund structures and portfolio solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procedures, responsible for onboarding and refresher training for team members.
  • Analyze Investment Regulations and Fund Structures, summarizing key points to aid training and development of the team.
  • Cover work items for absent team members when needed.
  • Encourage the team to challenge existing processes to ensure value addition and remove inefficiencies.
  • Lead all reporting (including regulatory and expense reporting), filings, and oversight responsibilities while ensuring compliance deadlines and internal SLAs are met.
  • Conduct thorough scrutiny and reconciliation of service provider calculations to identify issues and errors.
  • Support NAV monitoring for the Dublin team.
  • Exception reporting for cash breaks, position breaks, pricing, trade settlements, etc.
  • Financial Statement audit support.
  • Monitor delivery timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Execute and oversee team responsibilities in line with SLAs and agreed KPIs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Funds or Asset Management experience within a leading Asset Manager or Administrator (minimum 6 years) with an understanding of core Fund Operations, including Fund Accounting, Middle Office, and Transfer Agency.
  • Practical experience and knowledge of various asset classes, including securities, loans, derivatives, and pooled funds.
  • Private Markets / Private Equity Fund accounting experience.
  • Results-focused individual with high attention to detail.
  • Strong academic background in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex issues simply and coherently.
  • Strong IT skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) & aptitude for learning new technologies.
