Job Overview

This role is focused on overseeing the state-level implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of urban housing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale centrally sponsored projects across multiple stakeholders and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual action plans and coordinate teams for effective project delivery.
  • Supervise project management activities including timelines, fund utilization, beneficiary identification, and progress tracking.
  • Prepare and manage Request for Proposals (RFPs) and oversee the bid management process.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: government officials, private developers, financial institutions, consultants, and communities.
  • Coordinate fund flow and ensure timely release and proper utilization through direct benefit transfer and integrated Management Information System (MIS).
  • Conduct team meetings and compile robust project MIS reports.
  • Implement IT-enabled platforms for project monitoring and geo-tagging.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Large-scale project management and real-time progress tracking experience.
  • Financial management skills, including fund flow, subsidy tracking, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • IT and data analytics expertise, with experience using MIS, dashboards, and digital reporting platforms.
  • Strategy development, multi-stakeholder coordination, and liaison skills.
  • RFP preparation, bid process design and evaluation experience.
  • Team leadership and capacity building abilities.
  • Problem-solving, negotiation, and high-level analytical skills.

Education Qualifications

A Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with certifications in Project Management, Data Analytics, or MIS.

Experience (in years)

  • Minimum 9 years of project/program management experience, including at least 4-5 years handling government, housing, infrastructure, or urban development projects.
  • Proven experience in centrally sponsored schemes, including fund management and implementation at the state level.
  • Hands-on experience with IT systems, MIS, and team management.
