System Integration Specialist

The System Integration Specialist is the primary point of contact for vessels, Fleet Superintendents, and transversal departments regarding the maintenance of Navigation Integrated Systems.

This role ensures operational condition within established parameters. Ensuring compliance with IMS and international rules and regulations is a key aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all duties align with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan reviewed on a regular basis
  • Monitor or organize surveys/maintenance of navigation integrated systems, providing support to vessels and shore teams, including risk assessment for new situations or planned interventions
  • Manage repairs within time and budget by sourcing best solutions with key partners
  • Support vessel compliance with flag and class requirements related to navigation integrated systems
  • Provide feedback and challenge repair proposals from partners or vendors to ensure operational availability
  • Contribute to experience feedback and lessons learned from vessel navigation integrated systems to improve reliability
  • Maintain up-to-date databases of radio and navigation systems onboard and discuss optimal lifecycle with expert teams
  • Evaluate and assess partners and key vendors regularly
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronics and Telecommunications
  • 3 years' experience in supporting vessels preferred
Required Skills:
  • Good knowledge of integrated radio and navigation systems, OT networking, cybersecurity controls
  • Troubleshooting, initiative, flair to solve issues, and curiosity for new technologies
  • Project management skills, competencies in various software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Query)
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to work independently or in a team environment
