Cloud Storage Professional

The Cloud Storage Professional plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based infrastructure and services.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain highly available, scalable storage systems using Ceph, ZFS, and NFS for hybrid and cloud-native environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage, networking, and container orchestration systems.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for infrastructure using tools like Prometheus.
  • Collaborate with development and SRE teams to ensure seamless CI/CD and infrastructure reliability.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
  • Document architectural decisions, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Proficient with Ceph (RADOS, RBD, CephFS) and ZFS administration.
  • Solid experience managing NFS servers and performance tuning.
  • Preferred knowledge of Kubernetes internals, networking, and cluster lifecycle management.
  • Experience with container runtimes (Docker, containerd), Helm, etc.
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using the Rook-Ceph operator for Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CSI storage drivers and volume provisioning in Kubernetes.
  • Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or RHCSA are a plus.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering.
