Job Description

The position of a Brain Disorder Specialist involves diagnosing and managing disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examination and Treatment: Examine, diagnose, and treat patients with neurological disorders such as stroke, epilepsy, migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, neuropathies, and other nervous system conditions.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEG, EMG, MRI, CT scans, and lumbar punctures.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment and management plans.
  • Consultations: Provide both outpatient and inpatient consultations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, radiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Emergency Cases: Manage emergency cases like seizures, strokes, and acute neurological crises.
  • Maintenance and Monitoring: Prescribe medications, recommend therapies, and monitor treatment progress.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
  • Professional Development: Participate in medical research, training, and continuous professional development.
