Software Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced engineer to migrate core functionality from a legacy system to a modern, scalable architecture using cloud-native technologies.

This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can design and develop high-performance microservices, analyze complex systems, and lead the migration of legacy code to a new Java stack.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Java and Spring Boot, has experience with .NET (C#) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and possesses a strong understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven design patterns, and message brokers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & Develop: Architect and build high-performance microservices using Java Spring Boot.
  • Legacy Code Migration: Analyze existing .NET code, understand its business logic, and lead its migration to the new Java stack.
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Decommission the legacy message broker and implement a modern event-driven system using GCP Pub/Sub.
  • Cloud-Native Solutions: Build and deploy services using GCP technologies like Cloud Functions, Spanner, and Firestore.
  • Code Quality & Deployment: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Own the entire development lifecycle, demonstrating confidence in taking features to production through a robust CI/CD pipeline.
  • System Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of the entire system, identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • AI-Powered Migration: Utilize AI-based tools and methodologies to assist in the analysis, translation, and refactoring of legacy .NET code, improving the efficiency and accuracy of the migration.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Proven experience working with message brokers and event streaming platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub).
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
