Pathology Consultant Role

We are seeking an experienced pathology consultant to join our team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and interpret tests in histopathology, cytology, hematology, clinical pathology, and biochemistry.
  • Issue timely and accurate reports for biopsy, FNAC, PAP smears, and other diagnostic samples.
  • Supervise and guide laboratory technicians and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Maintain and monitor internal and external quality assurance programs.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and specialists for case discussions and diagnostic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee inventory, calibration of equipment, and overall lab operations.
  • Support teaching and training of DMLT/technician staff (if applicable).
Required Qualifications:
  • MBBS + MD/DNB in Pathology.
  • Registered with MCI or State Medical Council.
  • Proficient in microscopy, grossing, staining techniques, and diagnostic decision-making.
  • Experience in working with laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for interdepartmental coordination.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Subspecialty experience in Hematopathology, Histopathology, or Molecular Pathology.
  • Experience working in NABL/NABH-accredited labs.
  • Participation in audits, lab accreditation, or research publications is a plus.
