Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled WLAN Test Engineer to join our team at Qualcomm. As a key member of our Engineering Group, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall testing strategy for WiFi & Networking access points.

Your primary focus will be on developing test plans, tools, and automation frameworks for validating and qualifying WiFi routers. You will work closely with our systems team, development, and architecture team to understand features and define test plans and solutions needed to deliver production-grade software/firmware to our end customers.

This role requires a strong background in continuous testing and automation strategies, as well as excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze new features and develop/create new test plans and test cases
• Manage infrastructure, develop test topologies, and prepare use cases for validation
• Work with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end releases
• Direct small teams of engineers on gathering, integrating, and interpreting information to troubleshoot issues and find solutions
• Develop the right skills and train the team, serving as a mentor to engineers and senior engineers, and teaching complex features, systems, testing strategies, and automation
• Conduct log analysis with team members to identify issues and make recommendations for addressing them
• Network with colleagues to gain insight, ideas, and connections, and share information with peers and junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field
• 3+ years of software test engineering or related work experience
• Experience with software testing, automation, and tool development
• Strong knowledge of WLAN/networking and manual testing of networking products
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks across multiple projects with tight deadlines and aggressive goals
• Experience with scripting languages (optional)
