Job Description: Substation Energy Audit

This role involves conducting thorough surveys of power substations to identify areas for energy efficiency improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Survey of power supply stations (PSS) and identification of potential energy-saving opportunities.
  • Line diagram and connectivity checks, as well as status updates on incoming and outgoing lines.
  • Detailed analysis of incomer and outgoing feeders in terms of 33/11KV segregation.
  • Verification of feeder working along with CT/PT status and connectivity diagrams.
  • Multiplying factor (MF) checks and corrections.
  • Calculation and identification of associated losses between substation incoming energy and outgoing energy.
  • Identification of probable causes for losses at PSS.
  • Tagging and connectivity of feeders to distribution transformers (DTs) at the substation level according to electrical network specifications.
  • Site visits and verification of DTCPR ratio.
  • Preparation of single-line diagrams (SLDs) for PSS, feeders, and DTs.
  • Mapping of different types of feeders and DTs, including new incomers, and their association with respective PSS.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in power system management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical networks, including power supply systems and distribution transformers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
