Data Engineering Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned data engineering leader to define and execute data strategy for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data technologies landscape, experience with database technologies, programming languages, and multi-dimensional modeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for enterprise data architecture by identifying current landscapes and future business goals.
  • Lead globally distributed teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Manage functional and non-functional scope and quality.
  • Establish standard data practices like governance and address non-functional issues like data security, privacy, and quality.
Requirements
  • 12 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Excellent understanding of data technologies landscape.
  • Expertise in database technologies like relational, NoSQL, MPP, and columnar databases.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Scala, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of multi-dimensional modeling techniques like star schema, snowflakes, normalized, and de-normalized models.
  • Familiarity with ETL, BI, analytics, and advanced visualization technologies.
About You
  • A strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal, written, and visual presentations.
  • Strong coordination and negotiation skills.
  • Multigeo experience and distributed delivery experience in large programs.
