Senior Production System Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Hardware Production Engineering Lead to join our System Production Engineering group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production engineering of networking systems, requiring a deep understanding of hardware, firmware/software, mechanical integration, and manufacturing. This role involves supervising production engineering activities across multiple contract manufacturing lines, collaborating closely with various groups within the networking organization, including Hardware/Software/Firmware R&D, Architecture, Test Engineering, Quality & Reliability, and Operations. The successful candidate will participate in direct communications with internal and external groups, providing an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of NVIDIA networking systems and a system-level view of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading Cross-Organizational Task Forces: Manage and lead cross-functional teams to address quality events and failure modes in NVIDIA's networking products, coordinating efforts from various departments to identify and resolve issues.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Test Planning: Perform in-depth root cause analysis, analyzing failure modes and monitoring test yield for all stations.
  • Onsite Engineering Support: Serve as the technical owner for all test issues, test infrastructures, and test setups, delivering fast and professional responses to all issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in hardware design/system failure analysis/debugging/architecture or product engineering.
  • Familiarity with manufacture processes of electric products.
  • Proficient with lab equipment and lab setups, and troubleshooting skills.
  • A highly motivated teammate who stays up-to-date with new technologies and FA methodologies.
  • Proficient English is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a test engineer or product engineer.
  • Experience in board design/system.
  • Familiarity with ICT/JTAG technology and/or functional tests.
  • Linux operating systems, and programming languages such as Perl/Python.
