Job Overview

As a GCP Administration Lead, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of our GCP infrastructure.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as user access management, service account creation, and cloud security provisioning and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics of GCP services to identify potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent failures or data pipeline slowdowns.
  • Manage upgrades for GCP services like Cloud Composer, collaborating closely with cloud engineering teams to enable and configure GCP services.
  • Ensure data security and compliance by managing PII tagging, authorizations, and working with the compliance team to meet requirements like SOX and CCPA.
  • Provide technical support to GCP users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve errors in a timely manner.
  • Lead offshore platform engineers to develop tasks and support project development.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for artifact deployment.
  • Create data dashboards in Looker for Big Query performance monitoring, slots management, and user queries.
  • Collaborate with platform architects to build new capabilities, frameworks, or establish policies/guidelines for development teams.
  • Develop and conduct proof-of-concepts for new GCP services, including Big Query features and implementations.
  • Work with cloud security to develop security frameworks and perform vulnerability assessments to detect and resolve platform security issues.
  • Design and implement data engineering pipelines for data ingestion into the GCP platform/Big Query.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of GCP services, including Cloud Composer, Cloud Security, and Big Query.
