Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining the SIEM platform to ensure seamless integration with various data sources and logs. They will also develop and customize SIEM rules, filters, and alerts to meet specific security monitoring and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and Maintain SIEM Platform: Ensure the SIEM platform is properly configured and maintained to provide real-time threat detection and incident response capabilities.
  • Develop and Customize SIEM Rules: Create and implement custom SIEM rules, filters, and alerts to identify potential security threats and incidents.
  • Collaborate with IT Teams: Work closely with IT teams to onboard new data sources and integrate logs into the SIEM platform for comprehensive threat detection.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and present regular and ad-hoc reports on SIEM performance, security incidents, and compliance status to stakeholders and management.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to enhance SIEM capabilities and proactive defense strategies.
  • Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including incident simulations, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and training to junior team members and stakeholders on SIEM platform usage, capabilities, and best practices.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Strong understanding of SIEM platforms and their applications in cybersecurity
  • Proficiency in developing and customizing SIEM rules, filters, and alerts
  • Experience working with IT teams to onboard new data sources and integrate logs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively
