Cloud Data Architect

We are seeking an accomplished Cloud Data Architect to spearhead the design and development of our cloud-based data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures for cloud-based systems. They should be proficient in various cloud services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Amazon S3.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust ETL pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, availability, and integrity.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data transformation.
  • Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Design and manage scalable data lakes using AWS S3 and related services.
  • Work with Amazon DynamoDB and Redshift for high-performance data storage.
  • Create interactive dashboards using Amazon QuickSight.
  • Automate workflows with AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and EventBridge.

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer science, data engineering, or a related field. They should have hands-on experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL, as well as proficiency in Git and AWS services.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL.
  • Proficient in Git and AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Databricks and its ecosystem.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling.
  • Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
  • AWS certifications in data engineering are a plus.
