Job Title:

The primary function of a Research and Development Engineer involves applying knowledge of medical device regulations to execute gap assessments, manufacturing print reviews, and remediation activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating with suppliers to resolve technical queries, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and achieve project goals.

Key Skills:

Proficiency in Creo and Solid Works (drafting and modeling), hands-on experience in PLM/PDM preferably Windchill, strong verbal and presentation skills for effective collaboration with global teams, and experience in creating production drawings using GD&T.

Additional Responsibilities:

Conducting root cause analysis to resolve design and process issues, applying project management skills to plan, schedule, and monitor project activities efficiently, and participating in ideation activities to assess project scoping and viability through economic analysis, conflict analysis, and supplier quote validation.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 6-8 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Creo and Solid Works, and hands-on experience in PLM/PDM preferably Windchill. Nice-to-have qualifications include medical device experience, knowledge of electronics, cable, connectors, PCBA manufacturing methods, and six sigma methodology.

This is a challenging role that requires excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
