Financial Strategist Role

As a Financial Strategist, you will play a vital role in driving investment decisions and monitoring investments across startups and privately held US companies. This position requires an individual with strong analytical skills, expertise in financial modeling, and excellent research abilities.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in conducting market research, analyzing competitors, and deep-diving into industries. Additionally, they should be proficient in building and maintaining complex financial models to support investment decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and industry research on startups and private companies.
  • Developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models to inform investment strategies.
  • Preparing insightful reports, memos, and pitch decks for internal committees and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring portfolio company performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and preparing data-driven dashboards.
  • Collaborating with the investment team to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA/CFA preferred but not required).
  • 2–5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
  • Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote setting.
