Synthetic Chemist

Job Summary:

altM is seeking a skilled Chemical Synthesis Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry and experience with laboratory experiments, data analysis, and research methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute synthetic routes for the preparation of complex organic compounds.
• Purify and characterize organic molecules using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data to optimize synthetic routes and troubleshoot reactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
• Stay current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the laboratory environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• PhD or Master's degree in organic chemistry or related field.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
