Communications Internship

This internship focuses on fostering connections between our organization and its beneficiaries through storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with beneficiaries and stakeholders to gather authentic stories.
  • Transform stories into engaging narratives across various formats.
  • Support the creation of internal and external communication materials.
  • Maintain an archive of stories, photographs, and other content assets.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to generate innovative ideas for content.
  • Contribute to designing visual content such as social media posts, presentations, or reports using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Canva, or similar.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (ongoing or completed) in Communications, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Media Studies, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • Candidates from Design, Fine Arts, or related disciplines with strong writing skills are also encouraged to apply.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interviewing and documentation abilities, comfortable talking to people and drawing out stories.
  • Ability to write across formats: from short social media copy to long-form articles.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple stories and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with design tools (Adobe Suite, Canva, Figma, etc.) is a significant plus.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
