Job Title: Mechatronics Systems Designer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechatronics Systems Designer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge robotic systems and automation solutions. This role combines mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines to design and develop robust robotic systems tailored to diverse application-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechatronic systems that integrate complex hardware and software components, leveraging platforms such as ROS, C++, Python, and other relevant technologies.
  • Program and integrate sensors, actuators, and controllers to construct highly responsive and intelligent robotic systems.
  • Conduct rigorous simulations and comprehensive prototype testing using industry-standard tools like Gazebo, V-REP, or Webots.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, electrical, mechanical, and AI/ML engineers, to ensure cohesive development.
  • Perform systematic troubleshooting, meticulous debugging, and continuous optimization of robotic systems throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive and meticulous documentation of designs, codebases, test procedures, and performance results.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and industry standards for robotics applications.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in automation, artificial intelligence, and robotics, and recommend strategic improvements and innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 25 years of professional experience in robotics development or automation systems.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience working with various robotic platforms.
  • Strong programming proficiency in C++ and Python, with solid familiarity and practical experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and advanced motion planning algorithms.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for mechanical design, rapid prototyping, and component visualization.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with simulation environments and real-time system testing for validation and optimization.
  • A strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, computer vision, or deep learning techniques as applied to robotics is highly desirable.
